A recurring topic at this year’s World nZEB Forum is one that plays an essential part in the march towards sustainability, and it’s a simple one – ventilation.
What role does ventilation play in nZEB, for example, and why should everyone be paying attention?
Emmanuel Bourdin from the Department of Housing, Planning, and Local Government will join us on the 14th of November to deliver a talk at 11am. Emmanuel will detail the requirements of Part F and how the mantra “Build Tight – Ventilate Right” and the provision of adequate ventilation is central to Building Regulations.
Simon Jones of the Air Infiltration and Ventilation Centre will then be talking us through how ventilation systems in Ireland have to be designed, balanced, commissioned, and validated by competent persons.
Doctor Marie Coggins of NUI Galway joins us at 12:20pm for a talk on the quality of indoor air in Ireland, which will be followed at 2:30pm by a talk on the 21st century upgrades to ventilation and much more by Cecilia Naughton, Executive Architect from Dublin City Council.
So if there’s anything you need to know about ventilation as we march towards nZEB – breathe easy – because you’ll find everything you need to know at the World nZEB Forum.
